Hi Diana, I've had primarily raw food since 2011 and have been mostly vegan since 1995. But if I'm dining with non-vegetarians, I become flexarian and have meat, fish or dairy just to be sociable. I think raw vegetables is the best way to have the most nutrients. I eat almost NO grains- NO flour, no bread, no rolls, no pies, no pizza. I mostly have vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, B12 supplement and omega 3 & 6 oils. Daily leafy green vegetables, ginger and herbs in a blender is great.
Thanks Diana, I know finding vegans (much less vegan interested in raw) in Hawaii is rare enough much less to unearth a whole family of them :) Regardless, we are looking forward to being able to attend some get togethers in the future and make friends in the community. We're so new to this that most of our family and friends are still in the "shocked and horrified" mode, haha, it will be nice to be around people that believe in this lifestyle!
