A moveable feast of theater magic! Don’t miss one of the most popular events of the Ann Arbor summer season. This year's production is As You Like It, an audience favorite that features one of Shakespeare's most famous and oft-quoted speeches, “All the world's a stage.” Directed by Kate Mendeloff of the U-M Residential College and performed by U-M students and community players. New this year: Matthaei-Nichols members can reserve tickets in advance and receive a discount on tickets. Check back on this page soon for more information on advance ticket reservations.
Tickets for Shakespeare in the Arb are sold day of show only and on a first-come, first-served basis. Please arrive early to assure seating: due to the mobile nature of the performances and the outdoor settings, a limited number of tickets are available for each show.Box office is located in the lower level of the Arboretum Visitor Center at the 1610 Washington Hts. entrance.

Shakespeare in the Arb 2014 performance dates are: Thursdays through Sundays, June 5-8; 12-15; & 19-22.

Shakespeare in the Arb performers and audience members move through sections of the Arb as the play progresses. Each performance lasts about 2.5 hours.
Due to the mobile nature of the performances and the outdoor settings, a limited number of tickets are available for each show.
Audience members sit on the ground. We recommend blankets or chairs. Those sitting in chairs will be asked to sit toward the back so as not to obstruct the view.

Water is available for purchase at the box office.
Insect spray is available for free at the box office.

Parking: Free parking is available in U-M lots M-28 and M-29 near the 1610 Washington Hts. entrance to the Arb, and paid parking is available in the U-M Hospital P2 structure.
