Ziplining: Redwood Canopy Tour

I was saving this activity for spring, but with weather in the 70s and a drought emergency declared, I guess spring is already here!

Let's do this 2-hour redwood canopy tour to learn about the redwoods from a new perspective and get some adrenaline pumping. Afraid of heights? Here's your opportunity to conquer that fear.

Schedule
10:15am: Meet at Mount Hermon Redwood Canopy Tours
10:30am: Zip line tour starts
12:30pm: Zip line tour ends; meet for lunch at New Leaf Community Market

After the zip line tour, we will all regroup for sandwiches at New Leaf Community Market in downtown Felton.

The $80/person payment covers your discounted zip line tour and reservation costs.

Note: Participants must weigh between 75 and 250 pounds to participate. Everyone will be weighed by the tour company. I am the new Organizer for another group, so we'll share this (and some other events) with them.

Items to bring: sturdy, closed-toe (waterproof) shoes, rain jacket

Items NOT to bring: tank tops, short-inseam shorts, dresses, skirts, loose or dangling jewelry, body piercings, bulky rings, necklaces, bracelets, and personal electronics

Thanks everyone for coming out this morning and being so flexible when they closed the ziplining course and canceled our tour! I asked Mike to process the Paypal refunds, so please let me know if you don't see the $80 back in your accounts by February 15. I will give you RSVP priority when I reschedule this event for April or May. This is a great group of people and I hope to see you again soon!

I just received a call from Mount Hermon Redwood Canopy Tours: They are closing the course today due to rain. This is different than what I was told earlier in the week, so sorry everyone! I will still show up there and we can all find a great place for breakfast.

That's too bad... thanks for putting this together. I'm definitely up for trying again, but I think I'm going to skip breakfast.

I'm here in the parking lot. If you arrive and I'm not standing outside under and umbrella, I am inside a white Subaru BRZ. There are several breakfast, tea, and coffee options here in Felton and in Santa Cruz. For those of you who still come, we'll grab something. At a minimum, we had an adventure driving on 17 in the rain!

I spoke with the people at Mount Hermon Redwood Canopy Tours and this event proceeds rain or shine. They said it is quite beautiful in the rain and the zip lines are a bit faster, so you'll be in gorgeous surroundings as you fulfill your need for speed. In case of rain, they recommend you bring a rain jacket and wear waterproof shoes. See you on Sunday morning!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
