We will cook authentic Mexican food. We will start with Sopa de Tortilla, then we will learn how to make authentic Chile Rellenos from roasting of the peppers to making the tomato and garlic sauce to finish the dish. We will make two side dishes: chayote squash and rice with poblano peppers and corn. We will finish the meal with two flans, one traditional and a chocolate cheese flan. We can enjoy all of this while we sip some Margaritas. Everyone will play a role in cooking this meal as well as the cleanup.
Please bring notebook and an apron if you have one. Nominal fee of $5 to cover ingredients paid the day of the class.
