Chef Ricardo Zarate's is having a preview meal at his new restaurant on the West side Paiche and sharing his kitchen with other "Food & Wine Best Chefs" chefs on two nights March 26 and March 27.
I've booked a table on the March 26 for the dinner Zarate is preparing with Naomi Pomeray. Pomeray is the chef/owner of Portland's Beast a high rated restaurant that received 27 out of 30 for its food from Zagat. Pomeray was also just nominated for a James Beard Award in the category Best Chef in the Northwest.
This is a 5 course meal, and the cost is $52 excluding tax, tip.
Cocktails are extra. The corkage fee is $20.
The way these typically work is that the chefs will each prepare two courses, and the pastry chef will prepare dessert.
Note we have three four tops, not one big table. They said they'll try to put our tables as close together as possible. According to Stephane, the menu is fixed (i.e. no options) so this is not a family style meal
A wait list will be available, but if you add yourself to it, please check back since due to the required deposit, the wait list will not automatically move you to the attend list if a space opens
