LACMA’s Friday Night Jazz series

  • November 19, 2010 · 6:00 PM

This is the Final Concert of the Series! Let's bring some appetizers to share and some wine to share some good music, food, fun and friends this evening. Dress warm just in case! LACMA’s Friday Night Jazz series returns for its nineteenth season, celebrating the finest jazz musicians from across Los Angeles. Click here for a list of performers. The free concert series goes through November. Concerts run from 6 pm to 8 pm, leaving you time after every concert to explore the collections and exhibitions at the museum. Free no tickets or reservations required. Full bar. A great way to start the weekend. It's fine to BYOB and/or food for a inexpensive way to enjoy some music and/or wine. If several members plan to go, perhaps arrangements could be made to bring a potluck dish to share to make it a fun and delicious event to share. This is a weekly NO HOST Event, I may/may not be attending this event. If you will be attending, please provide your cell number if you are rsvp'ing yes so we can try to find each other. Every Friday 6-8PM. Parking Lot is $8 or you can find free street parking if you are willing to walk 2-3 blocks. I usually have good luck on the South side of Wilshire Blvd. 5905 Wilshire Blvd. (BP Grand Entrance Area) www.lacma.org

caught a half dozen numbers at the end of the first set but was just poking my head in for a quick look really and pop in museum briefly so didn't take a seat, it was fine, the very last number was extra good

Had a great time, met lots of new foodies, enjoyed the socializing, food, wine and meeting new foodies! Music was good too, but for me, not the focus but the background and excuse to gather and share with foodies.

I've been to LACMA's FNJ several times before, but this time was fun b/c w/our Foodie group, I had several people to meet up with. The music was great, but the conversation was fun too b/c we all have something in common: our love of food! The appetizers everyone brought were lovely & I got my w/e started right. Sorry the Jazz series has to go, but come next spring, we'll do it again, I hope.
