Project Angel Food's (www.projectangelfood.org) big annual fundraiser, DIVINE DESIGN is upon us.(www.divinedesign.com) From December 1-7 The old Beverly Hills Robinson/May building is transformed back into a department store for a week packed with all new generously donated merchandise for men, women, children and the home. But it requires hundreds of volunteers to pull it off. Every dollar raised goes to feed those living with terminal illnesses. Prices start at 50% off retail, and are reduced 10% everyday until a final 90% discount on the last day. It costs $25 to attend, but if you volunteer it's free to come save money on your holiday shopping.
Take on 3 or more shifts and you receive a $25 gift card to use on merchandise. I've been a PAF volunteer since 1997 and a Divine Design helper for the past 3 years. It's tons of fun with lots of great people to meet and loads of little perks. This is a no-host event as there are so many shifts available. I've signed up for 3. We have a project painting the venue to make it sparkle scheduled for Sat, Nov 13 and Sun, Nov 14 2. A number of pre-event dates in Nov that require volunteers. Assignments range from tagging and sorting merchandise to building fixtures. You do not have to commit to a whole day or days.
