FREE CONCERT Classic 1960's Rock Band "The Zombies" at the Santa Monica Pier

See the Classic 1960's Rock Band "The Zombies" in a FREE CONCERT at Santa Monica Pier (also Mystic Braves and KCRW DJ Dan Wilcox)

The Zombies are an English rock band from the 1960s who toured heavily and became popular in the United States. Rolling Stone ranked the band’s 1968 album, Odessey and Oracle, number 80 on their list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

The group was led by Rod Argent on piano, organ and vocals and Colin Blunstone on vocals. These two original band members have now paired up with talented backing musicians, and are now touring the U.S. and the U.K. The Zombies’ biggest hits in the U.S. and in the United Kingdom were their 1964 single, “She’s Not There”, “Tell Her No” and the 1969 single, “Time of the Season.”

The Zombies original band stayed together from 1962 – 1968. The Zombies' first UK LP, Begin Here (1965) was an equal mix of original songs and R&B covers. While continuing recording in 1965–66 and trying to achieve chart success, they recorded enough material for a follow-up album, but the lack of chart success kept most of those tracks from being issued. In 1967 the Zombies signed to CBS Records for whom they recorded the album Odessey and Oracle (the word odyssey was misspelled by cover designers).

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
