Active Foodies ~ Dance Downtown ~ Argentine Tango ~ BYOB & Potluck

An ActiveFoodies Event ~ Events that I host that have an activity component in the event is to promote our members to become more active. Too many of us do not get enough exercise and our ActiveFoodies events I hope will help us lead more active and healthy lives.

Okay Shadman... This one's for you! Where's Gomez and Morticia??? (Addams Family). Oh boy... what am I getting myself into this night? I've never even thought of trying to dance the Tango... But... I say what the hell, you only live once... I'm such a retard when it comes to dancing, but... I'll try it!

Dance Downtown - FREE

Celebrate the sheer joy of dancing at these evenings that bring together live bands, DJs and you! Live out loud, learn different dance styles and join in on Downtown's only open air dance floor. Beginner dance lessons are sprinkled throughout the evening and every skill level is welcome!

I love the idea of dancing and that dancing is actually great exercise! Plus they have free beginners lessons. So let's do it... and do it together!

You will probably want to at least bring a bottle of water if you are going to be dancing the night away...

Potluck Food & BYOB Drink ~ Here's the 411... If someone will take a bullet for the group and can get there early, say around 5pm and snag one of the tables in front of the restaurant and to the rear of the dance floor/stage, we can wine and dine there between dance breaks or if you need to rest. So, we don't need to go to a resto after the dance event, we can just chill right there until they kick us out and take our table and chairs... LOL With our awesome LA weather, a few bottles of wine and some good potluck food... who knows what the night will bring? If you don't bring anything, there's a free water fountain or $4.50 bottles of water, a full bar and 3 small tacos for $8.00. There's also the Pinot Grill which is probably pricey, but that will get you a table as well. If anyone volunteers to get here early to snag a table, I'm sure all of us who bring wine will definitely share with you. If you want to volunteer, please post that you will try to get a table. I might be able to sometimes as well.

If you want to eat... Bring a dish to share... Bring a dish to share... Bring a dish to share... Bring a dish Bring a dish to share... Bring a dish to share... Bring a dish to share... Bring a dish to share... to share... Bring a dish to share... Bring a dish to share... Bring a dish to share... Bring a dish to share...

Its funny, but I got stuck with another group that did the entire thing too, including the potluck and 'reserving' a table. What is that group called? (so i can remember to not go there) Did you noticed the other group?

I'll try to get her early too and will bring a red meetup sign for the table. Otherwise, look for Darrell stepping on people's toes....

I can probably get there early (after work)... this turns into a very popular event, where it can be difficult to see what they're teaching. So, if anyone needs help, just ask :-)

It's only about 3 blocks from the Metro. Easily walkable.

Thanks Darrell for organizing this meetup! I have watched Argentine Tango but never have taken classes, even though, I love the movements and the style. So, I am going all out to get something out of this evening! Maybe it will jump start my Tango dancing career!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
