Want Korean BBQ in Hollywood and Don't Know Where To Go? Ay Do No!!! (I Do Know)

This place opened about a month ago and is directly across the street from Thai Palms. I'm made a deal with the restaurant if we fill the place... we will get the $22.00 AYCE deal for $15.00!!! That's approximately 35% off! PLUS FREE CORKAGE!!! I don't know of any KBBQ place with this price AND free corkage! Plus... it is sooo close to home for me... 16 Yelp reviews and all are 5 star! They are open late nites and til 3am on weekends! I liked the vibe and the GM was cool so we made a deal to give our members a special deal for this one night only!

They got all brand new grills and vent hoods and it looks pretty chill. We are getting free corkage because I told them we will fill up the whole place... 72 seats!!! The one drawback is that parking can be a little tough... But it is about 3 blocks from the Hollywood/Vine Metro station, you can valet park at the Thai Palms lot or you can find parking a block away on Bronson Ave. north of Hollywood Blvd.  It is about one block from the Hollywood Freeway Offramp exit Hollywood Blvd.

They don't have a liquor license yet, so if you want to drink booze, you have to bring your own... There is a liquor store 3 doors down, but I don't think they have soju... but then since this place opened, if they are smart they should start stocking the Korean booze.

Had a good time and had a great cook handling the grill, although there was no second wave except for me.

I had a great time! Whenever we takeover the entire restaurant, it is always more fun! We closed the place down and left a bit after 11pm after polishing off the last bit of whiskey I brought. The food... while it was not authentic Korean food as judged by my Korean members, I thought it was tasty. Billy liked the short ribs best, I liked them all including the pork belly, bul gogi, spicy chicken, etc. But for a place that was AYCE and free corkage, it could not be beat.

I would like some suggestions of a good wine pairing for Korean BBQ?

korean soju is kinda like sake and goes well. so does lager beer. regular wine is tricky but chianti, shiraz, or even sparkling can work

If you're planning to eat primarily red meat, and if you go for the relatively spicy sauces, a zinfandel (a RED zin, not that sweet pink junk) can also be a good choice.

Just curious: Their website menu shows that their only AYCE deal is always $11.99 (and discounted to $9.99 at lunch). I take it we're getting something other than that?

    October 11, 2012

    • Darrell

That's the basic option. We're getting the $21.99 option that adds rib eye steak, galbi, pork belly and other primo cuts of meat.

great, thanks. i assumed it had to be something like that, but it seems they don't have the $21.99 option on their website menu (or, just as likely, I'm just blind...)

They have four options, each with additional BBQ items. The $12 option includes a handful of items, the $15 option has a few more, more for $21, more for $28. We're getting the $21 option for $15. I tried this restaurant a week ago, and I was similarly confused by the online info.

Do they have oi kimchee (cucumber) or daikon kimchee (radish) ?
Those are my favorite side dishes for kimchee, was just wondering ??
