Octoberfest - Red Lion - Silverlake

Aaaaahhhh!!! Octoberfest! Bier! Beer Wenches! Brats! What's not to love at the Red Lion during Octoberfest! This place is very unusual... The higher up you go, the younger the patrons are. Parking is tough so unless you get very lucky, expect to walk a few blocks after you find a coveted parking space. Nearby is also Silverlake Wine and a cheese shop, so you might try to arrive early and pop your head into one of these local shops.

NOTE: The rooftop is a covered outdoor deck and smoking is allowed. There are a lot of smokers. If it is too much, you can always go downstairs to one of the other dining rooms or bars to enjoy your food/drink in a smoke free environment. The roof deck is where all the frivolity happens however. Fun people watching. There's no reserved seating and during October, it can get crazy... on the weekends it is pandemonium so that's why we go mid week.

    Darrel,
One of your previous emails referred to 50% off. I recall that to be a promotion for discounted price of . . . what exactly? The food bill? Is there an entrance fee?

My group went here last night. They include the tax in their menu prices and will also add the 18% gratuity to the bill which we did not know at first. The food was good but doubt I would rush back. The service was very slow and it took about an hour to get our food. It is very loud in the dining room hard to talk. They do have a parking lot and people leave so you may get a spot. There is street parking & We got lucky someone just pulled out right in front of the Red Lion and this a Sat. night. It does get worse between 8-9 pm a lot of people start arriving to go to the upstairs patio.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
