Chinese New Year 2013 (according to the Chinese Zodiac) Year of the Snake begins on February 10, 2012 and ends on January 30, 2014.
Your sign is the Snake If born in the year 1989, 1977, 1965, 1953
Those born under this sign are deep thinkers, tending towards intellectual and philosophic pursuits, quietly methodical and with a reputation of wisdom. Fired with intense determination, they hate to fail at anything.
They seldom have to worry about money and are usually rich.
Fastidious about their looks and elegant taste belong to them. They can be very jealous and possessive in their relationships.

This evening will be a shared banquet in the festivities with the LA Foodies and LA Asian Foodies!
When: 7:00pm Doors open Social time & sign in. Pop a cork and relax a bit before dinner 7:30pm Begin Dinner Service
We will also have max 10 per table, so if you are at a table that will have 9 or less per table, I might need to subtract a dish (but you'll get more of each dish) to enjoy and more elbow room.
The restaurant will waive corkage fees so please feel free to bring a bottle of wine, sparkling wine or champagne. If you don't bring wine, but share someone's bottle, please offer to pay them for the wine they so generously share with you. If you bring wine and wish to be reimbursed... if they don't offer, please feel free to estimate a fair cost for sharing your wine. If you wish to not receive any reimbursement, you have that option as well. I personally like to bring Scotch or a sparkling wine. Chinese New Years dishes nearly always symbolize health, long life and prosperity.

If there is a wait list and you prepaid but cannot attend, there's a good chance you will be able to sell your seat. There's plenty of free parking on the street a block away, metered parking, a couple of spots in front of the restaurant and there's a small FREE Hop Li lot across the street for about a dozen cars so early birds might get the great parking spaces. After the first 4 tables fill up, a new table will be opened as soon as there's enough members on the wait list to open another table. Arrive early (7:00pm) for your best parking options. I'll need a few AO/EO's to help out by being table captains and to help with signing in members.
