There are some amazing places to find fresh, local and delicious food right in the middle of Hollywood - let's go discover them together!
A chance to check out the market and a couple restaurants—all in the same block—with a group! :)
We'll meet at 9:30 am and check out the Hollywood Farmer's Market with over 90 farmers!
We'll then wander over to the Hollywood Farmer's Kitchen (on the same street), where many of the dishes are created with items from the market! HFM is dedicated to providing local food sources and food security, nutrition and education.
Some of the items on their ever-changing menu include: Roasted Winter Squash Salad, Grilled Plum-Rhubarb Jam & Peanut Butter Sandwich, and Herbed Roast Chicken Sandwich.
We'll end the morning with a stop by LifeFood Organic, right on Cahuenga north of Sunset. LFO has created healthy grab-and-go prepacked raw cuisine. Their recipes are crafted from the highest integrity ingredients with one special twist; nothing is heated over 118 degrees so all the precious enzymes in the food are preserved. Superfoods, smoothies, juices, soups, desserts and more!! :)
Parking/Transportation: this meetup is located conveniently near a METRO stop (Hollywood & Vine). Alternatively, here is Parking info from the Hollywood Farmer's Market website (and Nancy F. below!):
"Cinerama Dome: $3 for first 2 hours with Market Validation (next to Soledad Goats, at Ivar & Selma). Metered Parking: Check Parking Enforcement signs. Some meters FREE until 11AM on Sundays. Doolittle Theatre: Limited free parking. LA Film School: $5 parking; at NE corner of Ivar & Sunset."
**I expect this meetup to last approximately 2 hours, but we can always hang out longer. :)
