1- I want to continually develop my skills & impact as a "therapist" in community with other spiritual aspirants because it's my favorite way to grow. I believe that everyone has the ability to heal themselves & others. Therefore, I believe that we are all natural "therapists." The best "therapy" is based on empathy, authenticity, & loving-kindness. To be fully present with someone in pain requires me to be willing to encounter my own unresolved or deeply archived painful memories. This requires courage I don't always have -- but I have more courage than I did a few years ago, thanks to challenges I seek. 2- As co-organizer of this group, I hope to make helpful, edifying & perhaps even surprising contributions to each members' experience.
Safety is good. Good boundaries make good neighbors.
I had two life-threatening illnesses after years of medical care. I finally turned to complementary alternatives & experienced astonishing results. What astonished me most: my healing was based on forgiveness, a new path that has led me here.
So far I have met a couple of members & it seems like a nice bunch of folks. I look forward to meeting more Aspirants in the future.
