Neighborhood Edible Plant Walk. Kevin will take you around the local hood sharing his knowledge of the diversity of plants that grow right off the sidewalk, road, and trail. I've been seeing lots and lots of acorns, the cedar pine pollen is almost ready, as well as the lilly pilly fruit and the strawberry madrone and much more.

We'll meet at the Contra Costa Canal Trail right below Masses Sports Bar and Grill. Suggested donations: $10-$20 per person.  Park on the street, not at the Masses.  Thanks!

Wish I could have stayed, I didn't want my daughter to bother the group so my wife and I had to go. What little we did get to see was awesome. I'll be at the next one for sure, sans my toddler.

It is point and show mostly, although there are certainly enough acorns that are fair game that you might want to bring a bag for.

Should we bring a basket or bags for collecting, or is this a point & show walk only?

Looking forward to this. Been collecting acorns and made my first acorn pancakes using your recipe from Bay Area Forager! Delicious! And have been eating strawberries from a madrone tree in our neighborhood - the owner had no idea they were edible! Foraging has been so much FUN!!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
