Meet at the Lower Summit Parking Lot, Mt Diablo State Park

From Danville take Southgate Rd into MDSP, from Walnut Creek take Northgate Rd into MDSP – continue up the Mountain past the Junction Ranger station 4.5 miles, the Lower lot is on the right just before the Summit Museum. $10 per car try to carpool.

 

Explore Our Galaxy: Build a model of our Galaxy! Solar System, Galaxy, Universe: what's the difference?


 

How big is our Galaxy compared to our Solar System? Take home a model of our galaxy. Participate in hands-on astronomy activities, followed by supervised observing through the many different telescopes of MDAS members to view the Moon, planets, stars, galaxies and more!

 

NOTE: Astronomy Program is weather permitting & “High Fire Danger”
