Kitchen Medicine Class

Learn self-care techniques with the contents of your kitchen!

About the presentation:

Kitchen medicine is a traditional body of healing knowledge that uses the practical and accessible contents of your kitchen. This is an engaging two hour workshop full of skills and information invaluable to anyone looking to expand their self-care tool-kit. We will address common ailments and exhibit how to create simple home remedies.

You will learn: how to make skin care products, tinctures, infusions, poultices and much more…

About the presenter:

Olivia June Fite, MS is a graduate of the Maryland University of Integrative Health. She is a Baltimore native with a real passion for connecting plants and people. Before becoming fascinated with the healing powers of plants, she engaged as an artist, a meditator and an activist.

Other than her community garden plot in Baltimore, Olivia tends to a growing client base. She is excited to share her skills of herbalism and

self-empowerment in fun educational settings.

Olivia - Thank you for your time and sharing your space and expertise. The topic is definitely close to my heart, since food and cookery are my main 'thing'. I loved your space and hope to see you again soon so I can pick your brain.

Hi all! There seems to be a little confusion about signing up for meetups and waitlists. Hopefully this will help:

You need to sign up for the meetups you would like to attend.

Currently, both of the Kitchen Medicine Classes for this Sunday are full. You can join the waitlist(s) and you will be notified if space becomes available for you attend. If you are on a waitlist and want to add another person to your RSVP, just click "Change your mind" and then "Change your details" to add other participants.

To join the waitlist or change your RSVP for the 2pm Kitchen Medicine class click here:

      July 10, 2013

    • Mangy White B.

Brian changed his RSVP, you are in for the class at 2. See you there.

Also, just want to make it clear that the suggested donation means that you can use a sliding scale to determine how much to donate for the class - between $15 and $20 for each participant.

Would've loved to have made this (especially for my birthday!). Please try to organize another event with Olivia in the future, hopefully in a venue with a larger capacity. Much appreciated!

I'd like to bring my friend Julie, who is also very interested in this as well. We have tried several recipes on our own.

  • Kendra

The Facebook invite says 1903 but it says 903 E. Pratt on meetup. Which is the correct address? I am looking forward to Kitchen Medicine Class.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
