Plant/Seed/Root/Tuber/Books/Tool Exchange

First annual spring garden exchange. Bring any spare seeds, plant divisions, plant starts, wild flowers, tame flowers, vegetables, herbs, tubers, roots, etc, that you have to share. Feel free to bring gardening books, garden tools, empty pots, bricks, etc, to pass along as well. Bring home things you'd like to include and/or use in your garden!

I'd like to come up with a great way to make sure that everyone gets something and that no one 'overly indulges'. Maybe each person gets 5 chips at check in and you trade 1 chip for an annual plant or seeds and 2 for a perennial? After everyone has had a first pass through the selection we can divide the remaining plants up appropriately? Would love to hear your ideas for a simple, equitable and respectful way to manage this.

Please check and comment in the conversation section below - let us know what you'll be bringing and what you are in search of. Read up on what others would like to find.

This is co-sponsored by another Meetup group, . Come join that group if you feel so inclined! Asking for voluntary donations the day of the event to cover the Meetup group fees for McHenry County Plant Exchange.

May our gardens overflow with sharing and green magic!

It was nice talking gardening but sad that only one person showed up.

Funny, I counted three of us in total! Sad for those who didn't show, though!

Hi. So sorry, but, I will not be able to make it tomorrow. We have unexpected company coming tomorrow and staying over a couple nights. Also, my mother wants the extra yuccas that I have. I was looking forward to meeting you. Again, sorry.

So far I've got 7 rhubarb available (from another member, Lisa Stuart) and chocolate mint and comfrey and some tomato starts.
