Tour of Windridge Herbs

We're repeating this wildly popular event from last year - it received rave reviews! Guaranteed to be a wonderful day of herbs.

Come tour Wind Ridge Herb Farm with us! Liz Fiorenza, owner and herb master, will give us a personalized tour of her professional herb farm. Wind Ridge is organically managed and produces both plants and herbs for retail and wholesale sales. We'll have the opportunity to learn lots about the specific herbs, including cultivation, harvest, and use plus be able to see, touch, and smell living plants. When the tour is completed you can buy cool things if you want. Liz will have herb plants (culinary and medicinal), berry plants, dried teas and more available for sale.

Caledonia is located just a bit west of Harvard, IL - about a 45 minute drive from Crystal Lake. If you'd like to carpool please post a comment to this Meetup - and then go ahead and personally contact anyone who responds. I can take a few people with me from Crystal Lake.

You can read more about Wind Ridge Herb Farm and their products and practices at their website:

Thanks Cathy for putting the event together. It was awesome as usual

The tour was even better than last year maybe because I'd learned more about the plants in the meantime and Liz pulled it all together with information on the culinary and medicinal uses of the plants so that it all made sense and really reinforced the learning.

Am devastated to miss this, but it's not your fault. Email works fine. I fell and broke my feet and leg. No gardening, hiking, foraging, at all this year. if you post any photos, please let me know. We are planning to move to AZ next year, so I am probably going to miss out in this lifetime. But do have fun. I'm filled with envy!

What a great event! I would love to join but already have commitments on Saturday. Perhaps this will be repeated in the future?
