Foundation for Children Orphanage

Hey Everyone,

Sorry for the big changes! Due to scheduling conflicts, we have moved our visit date back a week to the 27th. We will be meeting at 11:15. This will give us ample time to meet up, get some snacks for the kids and ourselves, and get to the orphanage.

We will be at the orphanage from 1pm to 5:30. Should get back by 6:30 but no gaurantees with BKK traffic.

The cost is 500 baht for travel (we'll arrange for vans to take us there and bring us back), lunch for the kids, toys, fruit, games, etc. Any money not spent will be donated to the orphanage.

Due to the cost and seating it is very important that if you sign up you show up. No last minute cancellations, no no-shows.

Here is their web-site, sorry only in Thai.

Any questions, please call me.

If you want to bring items to donate or cannot make but want to help, the orphanage is in need of these items (I can also take cash and purchase the items myself)

*Shampoo *Books

*Powdered Milk *Pencils

*Diapers *Erasers

*Soap *Rulers

*Baby Powder *Toothbrushes

*Rice *Toothpaste

*Sugar *Bath Towels

*Fish Sauce *Vermicelli

I am also looking to purchase some bicycles as the ones they had on the last visit were completely run down.

Hey everyone, sorry to bother ya but I made an event to raise awareness about the fund raising for the orphanage. If you could say you are going so the whole group can see it, it would be much appreciated :) many thanks in advance

Hey guys, really enjoyed today :) The kids were fantastic, had loads of fun. I am going to try and raise funds for them, using my first marathon as a platform. Please spread the word for me so we can get these kids some more money :) http://www.gofundme.com/f3wg58

We are running a little late to Kamphang Phet. On out way now, depends on traffic. Will update as we go. See you all soon.

Hi John, Where exactly are we meeting? Is it at Mo Chit BTS or Kamphaeng Phet MRT or somewhere different?
    Thanks :)

If it is easier for anyone else, we will have an earlier pick-up at the Tesco Lotus on Nawamin 86 at 10:15. From there, we will head to Kamphaeng Phet to meet the rest of the group at 11:15.

While there are 9 people signed up here, there are a few more teachers from my school, Lertlah, who will be joining us.

Hi John, I'd like to join, but I'll have to teach from 1 till 4. I'll try to "fly!" there from Nakornpathom as soooooon as I can. Hope to catch up with you all. But, for now, please do not count me in just yet. Have fun and I hope I'll be able to make it. Thank you, John for arranging this.

Just quit your job, haha. Maybe you feel a cough coming on and can't go to work?

No worries, I'll be setting up more trips in the future.

Hey, is it ok if I just meet everyone there? I live on that side of the river right at the end of the Silom BTS line, would be no point in going into the city to just come back out when I can just drive there :)

Hi John. All good with the change of date. I've talked to my two friends and they are good to go as well. See you on the 27th.

I found 2 Foundations for Children. One is Christian and the other is Buddhist. Which one? They are far apart.

I'll try to post a link to their web-site shortly. We've gone once before and a religious affiliation did not stand out. Can't answer your question just yet.
