For those people interested in trying out GSiteCrawler to crawl their website and list pages/files, title tags, meta descriptions, here's how I use it (it can do a lot more than what I use it for).

Here's the link to download the app -

Download the Full installation, and also the Beta-Update.

Once installed and launched, do the following:

"Add new project" (click link in top nav) - this will walk you through setting up a new project, if in doubt just leave everything checked.

Once crawl is complete click on "Generate" (click link in top nav), then "URL List for Export", then" CSV File with URLs, Titles, Descriptions, Last Change Date.csv".

Once the report is created I go to C:\Program Files\SOFTplus\GSiteCrawler\Projects to access the data.

If you like it, Donate some money, it's an awesome app.

I went to the link and was a little confused. The last update was 2007 and there is an installation expiration. Am I missing something? Is there a version of this software more recent? Are they continuing to update? Or is this still usable as old as it is and you just reinstall when the expiration comes about?

It was excellent. I know that SEO is part magic part science but would have loved some practical approaches. Makes me realize there's a lot to it.

Do you charge for this? I am assuming not since it is a meetup. Thank you!

I'd like to correct Jeremy on that. There's no charge, but a Google +1 would be very much appreciated if you enjoyed the meetup :-)
