PLEASE NOTE NEW MEETING DATE
Creating memorable characters is one of the most difficult things that writers often face. How do writers capture the essence of a character on the page? What gives some characters that air of realism, and why do some characters seem unbelievable?
We will have a round table discussion on what tools we each use to create our characters, and share ideas we may have heard other authors use. For the last half hour(8:30 to 9:00 pm) we will each secretly select one of the attendees and create a character and biography based on our perceptions of that person. We don't have to reveal who the person is, but we can discuss what worked and what didn't in the biography.
