Was a great night. Thank you all for coming. We ended up with 9 people and the food was amazing. Quite a few inquiries about a cooking demo. Will plan that for April. Thank you again!!!

I will bring mixed vegetables, peppers, walnuts, onions, zucchini and mushrooms .

There is a big crowd coming tomorrow night- so parking will be done in the yard -- my van will be parked out there. I look forward to seeing any of you who are able to come- I am expecting close to 20 people :)

Regarding the salad, I can make a Vinaigrette Dressing consisting of Apple Cider Vinegar, Virgin Olive Oil, salt, and pepper. Otherwise, would Newman or Brianna's dressing be okay?
    (Brianna is natural)

That's cool. Thank you. FYI. "Natural" on the label means nothing. Just watch for things like corn syrup and sugar. Or anything you cannot pronounce.

Hi Everyone! when you decide what you are going to bring could you please post it? I am going to make a butternut squash chili with black beans and also a Strawberry cake with coconut cream. I will have water available with citrus and ginger for drinking- And possibly a watermelon dish if I can find a good one. You only need to bring one dish- I know someone wants to bring a salad but I am not sure about dressing? Should I make some? Provide some? Annies is a good option if you are looking to purchase. I would please like to stress this is WHOLE FOODS. Many things are vegan and come in packages at the store. I am hoping people make things from scratch. Nothing out of a box. I look forward to meeting everyone! Maria

Venus Veggies at the farmers market on friday at Lakes Park has cheap organic greens. Alliance for the Arts Greenmarket has organic greens most of the time as well (not certified organic)

I thought this was a whole food plant based organization. Is it also organic and non gmo? And if so what else?

    March 9, 2014

    • Maria R.

It most assuredly is Whole Food Plant Based. But if you see the "We're About" section you will notice there is emphasis on organic. Corn in particular is highly GMO (insect resistant) and most people in these circles are careful about what they eat. It is not hugely strict of course. But she asked about cornbread in particular. :) I apologize if it was confusing. :)
