Just joined, definitely interested. This time of year presents some challenges from the weather. I enjoy biking, there are long trails at River Legacy Park in Arlington, Trinity Trails Fort Worth.
I Kayak in good weather sometimes on Lake Arlington. It is a declared Texas Parks and Wildlife area. Lots of wildlife on West shore. Summer time is great camping and kayaking in Eastern Ok and Arkansas area. Lake Quachita near Hot Springs has monthly overnight Kayak adventure during warm months. You kayake to islands and camp out. There is a support boat for restroom and to carry gear. Camp fire and barbeque that evening. That would be nice to plan for when summer nears. If you dont have the kayake and gear they will rent it and it is very reasonable
How about an afternoon campfire and cookout at Cedar Hill State Park in Grand Prairie. It is close in and convenient. Or just any kind of meetup at a restaurant during this cold season just to build some comradery with others in the group and maybe brainstorm on what others like to do. I hope everyone will make a point to show some interest which is going to be essential to getting off the ground.
