Miller Outdoor Theater: Dancin' in the Street... Motown & More Revue

Houston’s favorite Memorial Day weekend event, Dancin’ in the Street… Motown & More Revue, is back for another soul-filler holiday weekend. Featuring Houston’s most happening entertainers and the Bacement Soul Orchestra, Dancin’ in the Street… is sure to thrill the hill all Memorial Day Weekend long!

Dancin’ in the Street features soul music classic from its inception to contemporary times. BACE recreates music of legendary soul artists Ray Charles, Sam Cooke, the Temptations, Gladys Knight & the Pips, The O’jays, the Pointer Sisters, Luther Vandross, Boyz to Men, Aretha Franklin & many, many more.

The Show starts at 8:15, but this is always a packed house and we should be on the hill by 6:45.  Those in Sugarland can car pool together (perhaps at First Colony AMC) and those in Westchase can carpool together (perhaps at Memorial Mall)  parking is always hard to find.

Bring chairs, blankets, snacks, bug spray, and drinks (alcochol is permitted - but leave the glass bottles at home.

Sorry my husband just made it home. I told him we are way too late to get a spot now. I'm highly disappointed.

There is an odd statue on the hill. Should we meet there first at 6:45 pm and then find a location?

    May 23

    • Lisa

I will be there before, so I will try to scope something out.

Wish I could go...stopped by this morning and they were out of tickets. ..apparently people were waiting outside at 6am for tickets this morning and they had to turn away at least 200 people

    May 23

    • Lisa

You DON'T NEED tickets. The hill is first come first serve..tickets are only for the small amount of seats in the front.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
