Well folks, another fabulous Foulies season has come to a close. The 2015 season was highlighted with big turnouts and lots of new faces and converts to the Foulie tradition. We'll be back next year! Opening Day for 2016 is June 2, same place, same time. See you then.
The Foulies started years ago as a league softball team (known then as the Foul Balls, but that's another story), but the members decided this brought too much pressure and interfered with more important things like socializing, beer drinking and just having a good time. Thus they decided to play weekly pick-up games with anybody welcome, no matter what their skill level. We have absolute beginners who have never played, up to more serious and skilled players. This creates a great mix and makes for some surprisingly competitive games and good play. But the emphasis is on fun, meeting new people, and enjoying summer/fall evenings.
We also welcome any teams that want to schedule a game against us. Just email Terry.
We play evening games until late September, or whenever the weather and waning light chase us into hibernation. Post-game food/drinks at a local pub.
$5 per game donation (or $40 for the season) to help cover field costs, insurance, equipment, Meetup page fees etc.
