This is my first meet up with your group and I'm wondering if children can come. I'm not that confident with taking my 5 month old out to restaurants. Will other children be there? Also I am a little confused as to why your picture has the mum go off to work and the dad stay home with the children. Isn't this group about mums who look after the kids while also trying to run/build a business/work of some type? Sorry for all the questions. Also I have never been to kangaroo point and live quite far away so I'm going to apologise in advance if I get lost and run late. I'm planning to leave really early so hopefully ill be on time. Thanks.

Look forward to meeting you tomorrow. I neglected to mention for 3 years I've been bringing my 3 Pumpkins... and I've been the Host from the beginning. My eldest is 5 and in Prep, and my youngest will be 2 in November. We do things a little differently at Founding Mums. My attitude is, if you are running late, or sneak in late, we all understand it happens. If you have RSVP'd but then a kid is sick on the day -- it happens! It's the one place where you shouldn't have to worry about those things... in fact you should get a pat on the back for getting out the door. We don't judge if you turn up in ugg boots either - but I found it is the one day a month I make effort to wear make up -- and I look forward to it.

Is the founding kit relevant to Australian business?

    August 19, 2013

    • Jill Salzman, Founding M.

Hey Renee -- depending on your needs, it sure can be. Feel free to email what you're looking for after viewing our kits at -- and I can tell you more specifically how we can help.
