Marple Bridge early Spring Walk

A planned walk of approx distance of 4.5 miles, with 2 short hills, which are not too steep. It will take at pace of slowest! The walk will visit the Roman Lakes which are a well known local beauty spot, where there is a cafe and toilets available. The route of this walk is to head along the Marple canal, passing through busy locks.

Meet 11 am at Brabyns Park car park, opposite the Midland pub, Marple Bridge. Not the car park at side of Midland. Post codeSK6 5DT Map R SJ968898.

The park is 200 yds down the hill , same side, as Marple train station, approx half mile from the centre of Marple on the Romiley Rd. and is actually in the village of Marple Bridge. Plenty of local pubs for a drink afterwards.

Its a shame there has been a lack of interest in this walk. I think people might be looking forward to the warmer weather because I know there are a number of walking enthusiasts in the group.

A very disappointing turn out for this walk after all the initial enthusiasm. !! Any last minute attendees would be welcome, I have given up a days indoor cricket to lead it. !!!!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
