No-host adventure by BMW-NorCal -- all motos welcome!
The Range of Light (RoL) Gypsy Tour is a riding, touring, and camping adventure. RoL is held over Labor Day Weekend each year. Two days of outstanding touring awaits all who participate. Each day of touring and end point is a closely held secret. Registration covers the dinner meals and camping for each night of the tour; participants arrange their own breakfast and lunch meals.
Note: Shelley and I attended this last year and had a great time. Camping is a different location every day. Your camping gear is trucked to the new site each morning. Your gear is waiting for you when you arrive to the new evening campsite. You only have to get your gear to the start location (Butte Fairgrounds, this year), then take it home after the last day. The start and end locations are different. RoL is a real adventure!
Release of Liability
At the Friday check in, each rider receives a packet containing a commemorative pin, meal tickets, raffle tickets, and a location of that night's campsite. Saturday and Sunday rides are also a Poker Run with points for questions along the route.
Sunday night concludes with an awards ceremony after dinner. Some people depart for home that evening while others camp overnight and head for home Monday morning.
