There is a nice mile trail going around the fenced in dog park.  We will walk the trail, and then let the dogs burn off some energy in the fenced in off leash area.

Schweitzer Woods is located at 16N690 Sleepy Hollow Road in Dundee between Illinois Route 72 and Sleepy Hollow Road.

This preserve is an approved off-leash dog area. All follow all Rules and Regulations regarding use of these areas.

The property has oak forests, crop land, hay meadows and marshes on the 1.5 mile trail and woods within the fenced in area.

Finally....a decent day for a walk. Now just waiting for the slog through the snow and the time-change to have their affect on my sleep pattern!

So, is today's walk cancelled and rescheduled for next week? Or are we still on for today?

Due to the weather, I think my princess labs are going to be just too cold. We have jackets and such, however considering we are from Seattle and the dogs aren't really Chicago dogs yet, I don't think they can hack it!!!

Do we need to bring shot records or anything to go in this park? The parks we've seen in Illinois are usually private, so I am not sure how this park works.

About how long do you think we will be there? (I have another event at 5PM in Elmhurst) and I'd like to do both if possible.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
