Since 1961, the Foxboro Jaycees have been bringing young people together to make a difference not only in the community, but also in the lives of their members. The chapter coordinates a wide variety of events throughout the year to meet the needs of both the community and our members.
Community Development - The Foxboro Jaycees host a free summer Concerts on the Common series, organize a team for the Relay for Life, host an Easter Egg Hunt for the community, and donate books for the Dana Farber Cancer institute. We also have various holiday events - we decorate the common at Christmas and set up the Nativity Scene, assemble holiday fruit baskets for the food pantry, and organize Santa on the Common and Caroling on the Common.
Social - The Foxboro Jaycees also regularly plan social activities for all to enjoy. Weekly volleyball games, team trivia nights at local restaurant, bowling nights, Pawtucket Red Sox games, annual camping/hiking trip, scrapbooking events, book club discussions, and more are organized to give members the chance to interact in a social environment and develop friendships.
Fundraising - We hold various fundraisers throughout the year to support our community development projects and donate to local and national charities. Events include selling concessions and pony rides at our local Founders Day, craft fairs, and restaurant nights.
