We are looking for volunteers to help with our annual Easter Egg Hunt on the Foxborough Common. Duties for this community event would include such things as roping off the different sections, scattering Easter eggs, keeping the children at bay, assisting with the Easter egg collection afterwards, etc.
Volunteers are needed at 8:30AM on the Common
The Easter Egg Hunt will start promptly at 10:00AM
Rain Date is Sunday, April 13th @ 1pm
(Also, we are looking for help stuffing the plastic Easter Eggs with candy on Thu 4/10 at 7pm. If you would like to help, please message Laureen House for address info.)
Additional Event information:
Each spring, right before Easter, the Foxboro Jaycees fill over 2500 (yes, two thousand and five hundred!) plastic eggs with candy and scatter them across Foxboro Common. (It’s not really a “hunt” because the thousands of eggs are everywhere so everyone gets a good bounty of goodies!)
On that morning, approximately 300 children race to collect as many eggs as they can. We have three hunts separated by three age groups (1-3 years), (4-5 years), and (6-7-8 years).
The kids then have a meet and greet with the Easter bunny and get their picture taken. The entire event is free, sponsored by the Jaycees and is one of our most popular traditions.
