Uxbridge MA Lookout Rock Hike + Dinner

Join us for a hike in Uxbridge MA.

We will meet at the Riverbend Visitor Center parking lot and walk along the Blackstone River and Canal Heritage State Park. We will head north and follow the King Phillips trail about one mile to the overlook. Lookout Rock, part of the Blackstone River and Canal Heritage State Park, provides one of the most spectacular views in the Blackstone Valley. Standing atop the rock you have a view of the Blackstone River snaking its way through Northbridge and Uxbridge and through the Rice City Pond. This hike will be approx. 3 miles total Afterwards we will go for food and drinks at a local restaurant Map:

Our group will be joined by two other groups.

Timeline:

1:30: Meet time John will be onsite to introduce people for a quick social

1:45 Official meet time

2:00 Official Start of Hike

5:00 Estimated Time for Restaurant (Dinner and Drinks)

Park Directions: The park is located off of Rte 122 in south central Massachusetts. From the East/West/Boston/Southeast: Take Mass Pike (Rte. I-90) to exit #10A in Millbury, Rte 146 South.

From Northeast/Worcester: Take Rte 495 to Rte 290 West to exit #12, Rte 146 South.

Then: From 146 Take Rte 146 S & follow for 12 miles to exit # 3, Route 16. Turn left onto Rte 16 East and follow for 2 miles to the traffic lights. Turn left onto Route 122 North and follow for 1-1/4 mile and then turn right at traffic light onto Hartford Ave. There is a CVS on the corner. In 1 mile, turn right onto Oak Street at the UMass Tri-River Family Health Center. Visitor Center is 1/10 mile on the left in the red barn. From Providence:

Take 146N to exit #3, Route 16. Turn right onto Rte 16 East and follow for 2 miles to the traffic lights. Turn left onto Route 122 North and follow for 1-1/4 mile and then turn right at traffic light onto Hartford Ave . There is a CVS on the corner.
