Visitors are always welcome. Feel free to drop by!
Meet other locals who are interested in overcoming the fear of public speaking, learning the art of leadership, making new friends, and enjoying the camaraderie of being an active club member of Toastmasters.
Our members range in age from mid-twenties to mid-seventies. The tone of our meetings are friendly, encouraging, supportive and no pressure.
We meet twice a month, usually on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays. Our fall, winter and spring location is the Rose Hill Elementary School at 6301 Rose Hill Drive, Alexandria, VA 22310. We start at 7:30 PM and end by about 9:00 PM. However, visitors and Club Officers are encouraged to arrive 15 min. early to allow us to start on time.
As part of the meeting you are not required to speak, though you maybe asked to participate in our "Table Topics". It is acceptable to decline to participate, no one will hold it against you.
Not all of the Franconia Orators Toastmasters are on Meetup.com. Approximately 12 - 18 people attend at each meeting. The number of RSVP's is usually small, but many more come to the meetings.
