This is actually a re-scheduling of this Meetup from the now defunct "Franklin Survivalist" group.

For now, this is being tentatively scheduled at my home. Hopefully (weather permitting) we can spark up the old fire pit and check out some cool gear by a crackling fire. My home/yard are fairly small so if we get more than 8 or 10 folks, we may well be moving this to Erik's home in Uxbridge (also fire-pit equipped).

NOTE - Although the title of this event is "Show Off Your Bugout Bag", you don't have to actually have one to bring with you. If you're starting to think about making one, then come see what others have done, exchange ideas and maybe learn a few new tricks!

Super Meet Up! This was great. I really enjoyed it. Mr. Mike Forti was a great host. Thank you so much to everyone else who was there for showing their bug out bags and for the good tips they gave as well.

Great meetup, but poor attendance. Learned a lot of good stuff!

What are we looking at for possible dates?? As a note the only reason I found the group was thru a email by a fellow member on an unrelated subject. Even a search of Meetup doesn't provide any mention of this group. Maybe at least an email sent out to the members of the prior group could be done.. RH

I just checked and (at least for me) the group is showing up. If you search for a group within X miles of Franklin or other towns, it should be there in the search results.

Yowsa, Mike its up. Thanks for the above comment....Heres what happened this time when I put in the search. When I put down "within 100 miles of Boston" part of it says "Sorry, we couldn't find any matching Meetups in your groups or suggestions." Then underneath it says "These are upcoming franklin survival Meetups in your area." Then underneath that, they refer to the bug out bag meet up here.

Wish I could make it on 5/3 -- but have conflicts all afternoon that day.

Erik, I can easily do it at my house as well, but only if this stays relatively small. If it exceeds 6 or 8 participants, then I'd be looking to move it somewhere bigger than my tiny backyard!

I've got a firepit I could spark up and a patio area we could sit around... but as I said... it's fairly small.

If we do it on a weekend, maybe we can go to a state park. Depending on how many people go I can probably do it in my backyard, it's plenty big enough.
