PFS Sanctioned MOD: Thornkeep "The Accursed Halls" LV 1-2

This is the first level of the multi-tiered "Thornkeep" Sanctioned Module. Each of the sections of Thornkeep is an isolated dungeon-crawl. The first level is known as The Accursed Halls. Details listed below:

The Accursed Halls (by veteran RPG designer Richard Baker): Buried beneath the castle of Thornkeep lie strange passages and chambers that once belonged to a cruel Azlanti wizard of eons past. Goblins have begun excavating the so-called Accursed Halls in hopes of finding a lost goblin artifact, though their constant battles with the undead that haunt these corridors has left them blind to the dungeon’s other myriad wonders.

This module is for 1st to 2nd level characters. The future sections of the dungeon are for 2-4 level, 3-5 level, and so on. I intend to run the Thornkeep modules routinely as the months progress.

I look forward to seeing you all there!

Soo, I started out with having 4 people coming down, now it's just me.
Ira, if we end up down to one table I will give you money towards having bought the module. It's the least I can do for having jackoff friends. -_-

Is Mikey Noodlez not coming as well, then? (since you said he was coming with you)

      June 2, 2013

  • Larry

Just a thought, but I could make it at around 5 today and maybe others can to? You could break it up into 2 sessions..

  • Nicholas B.

Do we have enough for two tables now?

    June 1, 2013

    • Martin

We'll make it work. If anything one of the tables will have an npc pregen.

Played this one already. Have fun storming the castle...

Coulda been a contenda, if I hadn't already made alternate plans.

      Cut me, Paulie....

I can't make it, spot will be opened. I do want to run all lvl of thorn keep at some point.

    • Martin

I'm sure I'll run it again at some point. Since it's a Tier 1-2 MOD, it can be played any number of times by the same player (so long as the character being played is first level)

If you are anywhere near Savage, MD. I'll be running all the modules over the next several months. Look at the Pathfinder Society of Baltimore Meetup group. I'm running this module starting on June 11.

I've just read through this section of the module. Is it really 9 hours of play time? It seems a bit short. I guess we can make up for it by in-game role-playing.

Also, is the number of XP=3, and Fame=4?

    May 31, 2013

    • Matt H.

you're correct Ira, it's 3xp and 4 prestige/fame. The first part *can* take as little as 6 or as many as 9 depending on how much is done with the town of Thornkeep. There's lots of info that can be learned there, some of it concerning the levels of the dungeon, some concerning the surrounding areas that don't really apply. It's up to the GM how much they want to add with letting the PC's explore the town a bit before heading in, or you could just kick off with all the detailed information they would have gained and have them start at the entrance ready to rock and roll.

I think I'll send them right in (especially since I'm weak on RP).

I've already thought about how to introduce the new pathfinders.

I can come if we'll have a break or two so I can take care of the puppy. If that's not okay I'll be by next week.

    June 1, 2013

    • Darin

Hm. I live more than 15 minutes away, so that might be an issue. I may be able to get someone to watch her for the day, or just let her out at the meal break.

      June 1, 2013

    • Darin

Alternatively, would bringing her to the Haven be a bad plan?

      June 1, 2013

  • Martin

I modified the maximum amount of RSVPs to a max of 14 instead of 7 to accommodate Ira's second table.

Excellent. I'm still working on bringing people. Myself, my +1 and Noodlez are from PA and I'm gonna try and pack my truck for the trip down. I know a lot of us up here wanted to get leveled to play the Season 4 closers.

Happy to help man! See you tomorrow!

      June 1, 2013

Ira, are you up for GMing this Mod, or should we hold out for another volunteer GM? We now have enough players for two tables, and I'd rather allow folks to play if at all possible.

    May 30, 2013

    • Martin

Sorry sir, I'm waiting on my hard copy to be delivered by Amazon...I should get it tomorrow. I don't have a soft copy to give. (and technically, *can't* give)

      May 30, 2013

    • Ira

Okay, just purchased the pdf from Paizo. I'll be ready.

If we add Justin to the list, that makes 5 on the waiting list and someone to GM. That fills about two tables with enough leg room to stretch.
    Just need that second GM!

How do I +1... Just in case we get enough to run two tables.

    May 28, 2013

    • Martin

If there's someone willing to run another table of the same mod, then I can increase the number of attendees. As it stands now, it's just me running this game. Any volunteers?

      May 28, 2013

    • Ira

While I'd rather play my gnome barbarian/bard, I can DM.
