If we have enough new players to justify it, would people prefer the new level 1 scenario #5-08? And I will bring some of the pregenerated characters for whatever scenario we end up playing, and be prepared to explain more than usual.

All I have in this level range is brand new level 1 characters, so I'm fine with whichever.

I can bring my pregen sheets with me and also create a 1st level just to be prepared. Would also enjoy playing my lvl 5, so I will be good on each end.

So I understand that I should create a character before the adventure. We are not going to be creating characters on that day?

Due to time constraints it is best to make them before hand. In PFS you are able to remake your character before it hits level two, so if in your first adventure or two if you find out things about your build arn't working you can change them as desired in between adventures prior to playing that character at level two. If you are new to pathfinder and unsure about what you want to create, you can always play a pregenerated character and apply the credit from that pregen to a character of your own creation later. You can also just show up with a character of your own creation and play, and I am sure most of us would be more than happy to give you build/creation advice before/during/after time permitting. Pregenerated characters can be found on paizo's website, and several of us usually bring them along with us for people to use if neccessary.

Do we make characters when you get there, or figure out how to make and what to make on our own beforehand?

I opened up a second table. We need a GM to step up.
