19th Annual Boston EarthFest - May 18, 2013

http://www.myradio929.com/earthfest.aspx
UPDATE: Link has been updated. Bands announced. Gates open at 10am. Due to bombers, no backpacks/bags allowed. Pocketbooks will be checked. I will be at the 106 Cambridge St. Dunks at 11am if anyone wants to meet there. It is near the blue line Bowdoin stop. ~Sandy

They haven't quite posted all the details yet. I've posted the website so you can check for yourselves.

This is sponsored by Radio 92.5 & Whole Foods. Usually they have some known bands, free food, and contests.

the marketing pays for the free all day concert , I feel
people love the free giveaways and grab bags
I go every year , the positive energy of the crowd is amazing esp in Boston , to have six hours of outdoor free music , priceless

Music interesting. Exhbits NOT as interesting or "robust" in cleverness and depth of information available, as we have enjoyed in previous years.

It was "OK" (for those who like the "free food" approach), but I left within an hour after I had arrived.

People - homo sapiens - sentient beings socially constructed by environmentally "culturing" conditions.

Not very edifying excitement, I thought.

The packaging and even the content of the food led me to conclude that the "EarthFest" coordinators give a marketing opportunity but not much principled oversight.

Does disallowing bags and bag checks prevent bombers? In an open event like this, I'd say that they do.

I am very sad to say I cannot come. I forgot, I will be in Oregon from the 15th for a week. Earthfest is my favorite time of year, better than July 4th.... :-(

Please reconsider guys , I go every year , and this is an awesome , well organized event ......
now as to civil liberties , well that is another discussion , not that I do not think it deserves discussion , it does .....
anyway the music is always great , and the energy in the crowd is amazing , and positive ....

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
