I would like to let you know the next meetup lesson will be held on Sunday April 27th (Not this Sunday but the next Sunday) due to my personal timetable for this weekend. The next one will be a super fun because we are going to undertake a printmaking experiment called "Lithographic Gum Lable Transfer". We will use pencil, color pencil, crayon, or any other medium of your choice, even your digital picture! Using special paper I custom ordered from The U.S. paper shop, we will draw or print your digital picture on the paper, and transfer the image on the paper onto a watercolor paper. For this workshop, I would like you to prepare one sheet of your own watercolor paper of your choice, preferably 8"x10" in size. The one that usually works the best is Arches watercolor papers, but you can suddenly use other makers' papers as well. The picture below is my personal artwork, and is an example of gum lable transfer done on water color paper.
Regarding the figure drawing, we will continue a short contour drawing using some other medium - charcoal. Switching from 2B to charcoal will let you see a dramatic change in your drawing. And we will use charcoal just for this workshop and come back to the 2B from the next class.
Please RSVP if you are interested!
note: Angela, Leanne, and Aggie. I have your Cyanotype ready. If you would like to pick them up, you can stop by any time of the day during the weekdays.
