Eye training in "Le petit palais"

Hi all,

I propose you to train our eyes by seeing beautiful things. There is an art exhibition in "Le petit palais" about "Paris in 1900". Let's discover the amazing cultural effervescence of our city at that time.

Visiting it together would be a great occasion to watch better and I guess we could learn a lot by exchanging about it.

Price is 11 euros, you need to buy your ticket online before (don't wait too much, now only 33 places left).

Details and link to buy ticket are here:

http://www.petitpalais.paris.fr/en/expositions/paris-1900-city-entertainment

Some words from the official exhibition website:

The exhibition ‘Paris 1900, The City of Entertainment’ is an invitation to the public to relive the splendour of the French capital at the time when the Paris Exposition Universelle was heralding the arrival of the 20th century. More than ever before, Paris was seen throughout the world as a sparkling city of luxury with a sophisticated way of life. Over 600 works will plunge visitors to the Petit Palais into the atmosphere of Belle Époque Paris. There will be paintings, objets d’art, costumes, posters, photographs, films, furniture, jewellery and sculptures. The technical inventions, the cultural effervescence, and the sheer elegance of Parisian women will be staged and displayed as representative legends of that Paris whose image has been promoted in literature and the cinema throughout the world.

Dear Francois, What an amazing exhibition for training the eye - our "group" was totally immersed, lost track of time and never stopped being wowed by the beauty, stunning details and opportunities to virtually draw! Thank you for bringing that epoch to us in a most interesting way! We missed you at the middle but just had to see what was next! I will look forward to your next idea!

Hello Genevieve, Thank you for your message. I agree with you, that was so beautiful ! I went inside with Suzanne and Sankar later and we were exchanging a lot about what we've seen. That's why we were moving slow. We had so many things to say that we couldn't see all things and were moved away when the museum was closing, so you was right to move on your own rythm. I will try to find time to write a sum-up about our conversations. I was happy to meet you and I also look forward to see you again !

I enjoyed it a lot - and Francois had put so much thought it into making it a truly enjoyable learning experience!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
