Irish night: Miss D's Silver Hammer

It always seems a shame that the weekend ends on Sunday... well, why not continue it to Monday by coming along to Miss D's Silver Hammer night, held at The Distillers, Hammersmith, on Monday 18 March. The twist is that all the comedians are Irish (in one form or another, or so I've been told) - and we all know that the Irish like a good laff.

The comedy action starts at about 8.00. I'll be along about half an hour before everything kicks off (if not a bit earlier), for a beer and a chat. (I'll try to organise a sign that is slightly larger than a postage stamp for this night), and you can always give me a ring on[masked] if you need me to wave.

Travel information: closest tube, Hammersmith (yellow, pink, blue and green!)

Dapha Baram's open mic night is legendary on the London comedy circuit. It's a night that open mic'ers (and professionals) really want to play, and this is one night that I'm really looking forward to. I hope you can make it down! (I also hope to post a line up when I have more information).

Excellent (with the one exception. Sorry I don't do bigotry, it's for morons)
Well done Chris, another great night sorted. Great to meet everyone, shame we didn't get around to using the Mexican Wave

Sorry, I'm not going to be able to make it – there are problems on my branch of the Picadilly Line.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone on Monday :) I'll try to get a sign made. If anyone needs to contact me on the night my number is 07889757480. One other thing I should mention... Although the night is certainly free, I've heard that the organiser is running a bucket collection at the end of the night (to help pack all the comics back to the emerald Isle). The usual guidance is: of you're brassic, no worries - your presence at the event is the most important thing and you'll be welcomed by myself, the organiser and the comics. (I have no idea about the line up yet, but it's going to be great!) :)
