Imran Yusuf Edinburgh Preview, Dirty Dicks, Liverpool Street

Like to go to the Edinburgh festival but you can't due to time? Why not come along to a FREE Edinburgh preview show hosted at Dirty Dick's, Liverpool Street - one of the city's oldest and most famous pubs.

The night consists of about 10 comics doing open slots, followed by a full preview of a show entitled 'work in progress' by funny man Imran Yusuf. Here's a bit more info about Imran:
The first comic to start the trend of nominations from the free scene, returns to the Edinburgh Festival for his latest solo show. Imran has been enrapturing audiences up and down the UK with two successful tours and right across the world, from South Africa to South East Asia, even performing in Hindi during his stints in India’s exciting emerging comedy scene. Imran has proved himself as a comic with true international appeal thanks to his effortless cheeky charm and innate ability to engage with audiences right across the cultural spectrum.

Best Newcomer Nominee 2010, Star of Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Dave’s One Night Stand, Edinburgh Comedy Fest, Live at The Comedy Store, BBC3’s new sitcom pilot ‘Fried’ and brand new CBBC’s ‘Ultimate Brain’. Imran has proved to be a diverse performer across both the stage and screen. Check out: http://www.youtube.com/imranyusufcomedy

★★★★ “Imran Yusuf’s show heralds the birth of a new comedy star. Intelligent, thought-provoking and laugh out loud funny” – Time Out
★★★★ “Sharp, passionate and uplifting” – Telegraph
★★★★ “An hour of cheek and charm” – The Independent

Although the event is free, there is likely to be a bucket collection at the end of the night to cover running costs.

The funnies start at 8.00pm. I'll be there from around 7.30 onwards. Look out for the fella who looks a bit like Harry Hill; that would be me. Please feel free to introduce yourself, and I'll introduce you to other members of the group. If you need to give me a ring, my number is:[masked] 480.

I hope you can make it down. It should be a fabulous night!
