Let's meet to play ukulele, sing, and have fun.

We meet every Thursday, unless it falls on a holiday or our hosting venue is having a special event. Our hosting venue is the Eastgate Cafe in the Oak Park Arts District, who generously provides their dining room to us without a fee.. We sing songs found in that week's song-packet. Food and beverages are available for purchase from our hosting venue.

The song-sheet packets for this meetup are Faves & Raves! Volume 1, Rev 3, and Laura and Mike Go Mad: A Very Short Journey. If you are a member, you can download them by bringing up the Song-sheet Packet for the Next Meetup page.  Click on the page name to go there now.

Faves & Raves! Volume 1 is Rev 3, which is a little different from the one we previously used. So if you downloaded the last one, you'll want to replace it.

Lots of great participation this week, with folks bringing and leading songs. BIG thanks to Mike and Laura for putting together and leading a great mini packet of MAD parodies. Thanks to Cheryl and Wanetta for bringing and leading Music, Music, Music and Buffalo Gals. And thanks to all who lead songs - BJ, David, Mark, Bryan, Amanda, Wanetta....
    Truly a "free range" evening!

If you didn't see me last night, there's a simple explanation: I wasn't there. Sorry. I hear you had a good time all the same. Wonderful.

Thank you to all the participants; your enthusiasm gives us organizers encouragement, your feedback helps us to find ways to improve future meetups, and by extending the courtesy of ordering something from our venue, you're helping us to keep our happy home.

If you haven't done so already, please take a few minutes to share your comments here or on the Group Reviews page ().

If you're a member, feel free to read the current financial report: Thank you to all who could afford to make a donation.

Hey guys, my neighbor is a cellist and might be interested in coming to ukulele night, should she:
    A)Bring Cello
    B)Bring Guitar
C)Just use the loaner uke, not that other fancy stuff

We prefer that folks don't bring guitars, just because of the small space we have. Guitars are just too big. I might be a bit concerned for the safety of your friend's cello when we are crowded... I suggest that she come by one time just to see what it is like, use the loaner uke, and then decide if she would want to bring her cello another time. A cello might be an interesting addition from time to time.
