Let's meet to play ukulele, sing, and have fun.

We meet every Thursday, unless it falls on a holiday or our hosting venue is having a special event. Our hosting venue is the Eastgate Cafe in the Oak Park Arts District, who generously provides their dining room to us without a fee.. We sing songs found in that week's song-packet. Food and beverages are available for purchase from our hosting venue.

The song-sheet packets for this meetup are Pluck & Cluck (The Poultry Packet), and Three Chords or Less! Volume 3.  If you are a member, you can download the current song-sheet packets by bringing up the Song-sheet Packet for the Next Meetup page.  Click on the page name to go there now.

What? No one commented about how fowl the last meetup was? Are you peeps too chicken to mention it? Personally I'm still happy to crow about how much fun it was.

Thank you to all the participants; your enthusiasm gives us organizers encouragement, your feedback helps us to find ways to improve future meetups, and by extending the courtesy of ordering something from our venue, you're helping us to keep our happy home.

If you haven't done so already, please take a few minutes to share your comments here or on the Group Reviews page (http://bit.ly/1j9CUO6).

If you're a member, feel free to read the current financial report: http://bit.ly/1iJ7tt7 Thank you to all who could afford to make a donation.

Thanks all for participating in the chickenness! Steve, you are truly multi talented - besides playing and singing, you blow a mean conch shell and tonight we find out that you do an excellent rooster crow! Dan had no idea he was going to be a wielding a rooster puppet but did a masterful job. Thanks Brenda, Lisa and Bryan for the parodies, and thanks to all who helped lead. It was great to see old and new friends! And didn't Masha and Mike do a great job on the theme song?
Last trivia question - What is Alektrophobia?

Thank you for planning ahead, ann.

The bad news is that we never know from week to week if there'll be 25 participants or 40; we ask Meetup members to help us with their RSVPs, but we don't require that, and we welcome non-meetup member walk-ins as well as guests. With four guests it's best to arrive as early as possible.

The good news is that our venue, Eastgate Café, has wonderful food, so arriving early enough to eat dinner before the meetup begins is a win-win; you and your guests will be sure to have a seat as well as a good meal, and you'll be helping us make Eastgate happy.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
