Liberty, Safety and Prism

Quite recently new light has been shone on the clandestine surveillance practices done in the name of keeping us "safe", courtesy of the now fleeing Edward Snowden. Now while there has been talk of the legality of such an endeavour, I feel that we would be better suited to discussing the ethics of it, or necessity of it depending on where people stand.

Are we better off giving up our liberty for security, or to quote Benjamin Franklin "they who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety".

I wanted to move up the date for this meetup from our regular time before we all forget the story and move on. (Conspiratorial Epiphany) Like they want us to do (/Conspiratorial Epiphany)

Well Pedro is quite busy and I won't be here next Wednesday. I though of putting something up for the following week but that doesn't give people much time. However we aren't the Socrates cafe, it's not just the two of use who can make suggestions anyone is welcome and encouraged to suggest a meetup for any time.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
