Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone is interested to do something on the weekend of July 4th. I was thinking of hiking in the White mountains in NH or even going back to the Adirondacks. We can talk about it next Sunday but thought I'd bring it up to see if anyone is interested.

How far in advance will you let us know if this hike happens to be delayed due to rain?

    June 25, 2013

    • Kateryna

I don't think the hike will be cancelled. The weather looks fine

I wonder if I can qualify?
Please let me know, my friends

I have a tent for two people, and I would need a ride. If we can rent a van, that would be great.

    June 24, 2013

    • Kateryna

Sounds great Paolo! I will email you later tonight the details

Is this hike going rain or shine?

    June 22, 2013

    • Kateryna

If it is more then 70% chances of rain will reschedule it.

  • Sagar

I have a 3 person tent, and space for 2.
    @Kateryna - I have paid $110.

    June 21, 2013

  • Kateryna

At the moment the following people are camping: Mario, Hyman, Sagar, Michael, Lisa, Baris and I. This makes 7 people.
I have reserved camping for only 6 people. Please, make a $10 payment to reserve your camping spot and I will call to reserve more places. Please, do it ASAP since the campground is getting full quickly.

    June 20, 2013

  • Kateryna

Also I have reserved only 6 camping spots.

At the moment I don't have a clear # of people who are camping.

If you are camping - please make $10 payment on top of the transportation.

    June 20, 2013

  • Kateryna

We did the math and the transportation cost is $100 per person on 15 passenger. Please, make payment to [masked] to reserve your spot.

    June 20, 2013

  • Kateryna

Guys, there is a private campground available right near the trail. It is $60 per 6 people.
There is also a hostel with bunk beds and double rooms.
Since these two options are very close to each other we can have people camping and people staying at the hostel.

Also we are thinking of renting a van. The size of the van will be determined by the # of people who need a lift from Manhattan. If you are in New Jersey - we can pick you up there as long as it is on our way.

We need to make the decision about accommodation and transportation ASAP since they get booked quickly.

Please, email me [masked] the following info:

    1. Would you like to camp at a campground?
    a. If yes, Do you have a tent. How many people fit in your tent?
    2. Would you like to stay in a hostel?
    a. Do you prefer bunk bed?
    b. Double occupancy room?
    3. Do you need transportation?
    a. Are you leaving from Manhattan?
Please, get back to me as soon as you can with the answers.

Hi. I don't know if I'm advanced enough for this? Any thoughts? Temma

    June 18, 2013

    • Kateryna

Hi Temma, I'm sure you would be able to do it, but this time we are a small group of people who will hike very fast. It is 10-12 hours hike with a big elevation gain. So I'm just worried that you may not be able to catch up with us. We are planning to organize this trip to Mt Marcy more open level group. In this case we will have 2-3 leaders and you will be more then welcome to join.

      June 18, 2013

    • Temma E.

ok, i'll come the next time when you have more leaders...have fun!

    June 13, 2013

    • Kateryna

Hi Cliselidis, We have decided to do it just as 2 days trip this time. I'm sure we will do it again and you will be able to join us.
