During our summer months, you can even offer yourself an Ayurvedic body treatment or a therapeutic massage from our Well Being Center. If you are feeling more energetic and adventurous, you can even bring up a bicycle to explore the miles of Catskill mountain roads.

Directions to the Yoga Ranch
The ashram is 100 miles from New York City. Take 87N (the NY Thruway) to exit 16 (Hwy 17 West, the first Catskills exit), to Monticello exit 105B (Hwy 42N), and go 12 miles north to Woodbourne. At Woodbourne continue straight 3/4 miles on 52 to Budd Road (behind the Woodbourne Fire Station), on the left. The Yoga Ranch is 2.5 miles up Budd Road, on the right.
The physical address is 33 Yoga Road, a private road exiting to the right of 500 Budd Road, Woodbourne, NY 12788. Look for the large hand painted sign on the right, just before the Yoga Road sign. Park in the parking lot and check in at the reception in the white registration building (see photo on left).
By Shortline Bus
Take the express bus from New York's Port Authority to Monticello, NY, departing about every two hours during the day. Monticello is about 20 miles from the ashram. You will want to buy your ticket through to Woodbourne, unless you take a bus after 4:30pm in which case you will need to take a taxi to the ashram.
As you enter the bus from Monticello to Woodbourne, please tell the driver to drop you off at the Citgo gas station in Woodbourne and ask him/her your estimated arrival time. Then call the ashram to let us know you are on your way so we can have a driver ready to come and pick you up when you arrive in Woodbourne.

Please note: if you are arriving late in the evening, please call them in advance to inform them, registration closes at a certain time, they will not be there to greet you however, they will leave a written direction to your room. Dinner is serve by 6PM.
What to Bring
Ashram guests are invited to dress in casual, comfortable clothing suitable for warm days and cool evenings. Clothing should be modest (covering shoulders & knees), although bathing suits are acceptable in our Russian Sauna. This is a traditional ashram and all are expected to observe the dress code.
Other useful items to bring for your stay at the ashram include:
Meditation shawl and/or japa mala (prayer) beads
Slip-on sandals or slippers (indoor-only)
Hiking / Walking Shoes
Travel mug or tumbler (for hot tea)
For tent space only: bring your own tent, bedding and towels

Also bring your hiking gear, boots, backpack, headlamp, hiking clothes, no cotton, dry wicking recommended.
There is going to be special Sweat Lodge Ceremony on Saturday, April 26, 2014, $25 for your spot and you have to RSVP.
