Freemasonry and the metaphysical qualities of the spoken word.

On August 24,  2014 at 2:30 P.M. the Masonic Philosophical Society will be hosting a study group at the Santa Cruz Masonic Lodge. In each Meetup a different topic, ranging from philosophy and science to religion and metaphysics, is discussed, debated and related to the principles of Freemasonry.

The topic for August is, "Freemasonry and the metaphysical qualities of the spoken word." The spoken language has many associations with creation,  ritual, and Freemasonry. What is it about verbal expression that lends itself to this connection? What are the differences between ritual with definite and consistent language compared to more open, free-form ritual, and how has this affected Freemasonry.

This group for men and women, which is open to the public, is where non-members can learn more about Freemasonry, as well as meet local Co-Masons.

I have been attending the class, and although I am not a mason, the people are very knowledgeable and understanding as a group. Thank you! I appreciate the opportunity to speak, and gain insight from members and non members. Always fun! Thank you for your time.
