October 26, 2013 at 10 a.m. the Washington branch of the Masonic Philosophical Society will host a study group in the upstairs room of Tully's Coffee, 764 Broadway, Tacoma.
This local branch of the MPS will continue it's ongoing study of the standard definition of Freemasonry, which is "A peculiar system of morality, veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols." During this ongoing study, each word in the definition is the topic of its own discussion. At the October meeting, the topic will be "morality".
In general, many topics, ranging from philosophy and science to religion and metaphysics, are discussed and debated at MPS meetings.
This group, which is open to the public, also is an opportunity for non-members to learn more about Freemasonry, as well as meet local Freemasons. Join us for a compelling, in-depth discussion where these topics will be explored so we can apply our understandings in each of our lives.
