No, but I am interested in considering this model for a game that I am designing.
I like the concept of free to play games, where through free play a player may have the full game experience, but where they may through micro-transactions make progress more quickly to save time or to hit a happy moment that they are presently craving. A good example is seen in the Gamerholic.com/Dreamybids.com twin sites.
